Change

Mansi totally nailed a truth about change.

She said -

And that’s the thing about change. You move on and expect others to stand where they are.

Full post at - http://thisyearinpages.tumblr.com (which is quite an interesting project).

It's so true, that often we find so much disappointment, when we go back and 'things aren't the same' even though we know that everything has moved forward, a long time ago.

Expecting nothing (other than ourselves) to change is just silly.

I don't agree with this thought.

First expecting that people will not change is wrong. One would end up disappointed if they react in a different way than they expected.

When one changes, they accept the changes around them, so even if people change or they don't, it does not make a big difference!!

As one changes, they welcome everything that comes their way

Yup thats the whole point that it is well 'wrong' not to believe that other people will not change.

Also I don't think change always happens in such a way that you are aware of it or happens such that you believe everything around is also changing. Often when there is awareness of change, there will be acceptance of people and surroundings changing. But most often that not, we know we have changed and moved on but when we go back to a situation/place we are unnerved to see that thing there have changed too.

Maybe because the line is out of context it doesn't make as much sense.
