A tribute to Jackie Cochran...

On May 18, 1953, Jackie Cochran became the first woman to break the sound barrier. She was flying a Sabrejet F-86. She was also the first woman to land and take off from an aircraft carrier, the first woman to pilot a bomber across the North Atlantic, and the first pilot to make a blind (instrumental) landing. She still holds more distance and speed records than any pilot living or dead, man or woman.

She was orphaned at a young age and grew up in poverty. She was not attracted to aviation from the start. Her dream was to start her own cosmetic company. She got her flying license only because she believed that it would help her sell her products all across the country.

Now thats a super achiever. And one for woman power too...

The lawyer in OJs team was Jonnie Cochran. And Jonnie was a guy not a woman. How OJ got off the hooks thought is unbelievable...Even thought I didnt follow the trail very closely, I know the top details. He should be in jail according to me...

This is Jacqueline "Jackie" Cochran.
